Cards for the game of Scopone by Figs
The cards for the tournaments of FIGS are the ones shown in the images below, subdivided for its own Suit. It's often said that the reason why the games of cards from Italy aren't played nor known outside italian borders is due to the Italian pack of Cards.
The French pack, with 52 cards, is an International standard; not so about italian one, with 40 cards.
The situation is aggraved by regional packs; almost each region uses its own pack.
That's why a Figs Councileer, furnished of great fantasy, Mr. Bruno Lapecorella of Bari, in 1989 invented a new pack of cards with unified suits, using both Italian and French suits.
Therefore traditional suites are placed side by side with the corresponding ones of French pack; they're used the English notations: J fot the Jack (8, Fante in Italian), Q for the Queen (9, Horse, Cavallo in Italian) e K per il King (10, Re in Italian).
The corresponding suites are: Bastoni and Flowers, Coppe and Hearts, Denari and Diamonds, Spade con Swords.
After its creation, in 2000, the Italian Federation for Scopone Game has consecrated these cards its official pack.
